Registered Sonographers perform scans at Before Birth Imaging

Learn about our full list of services.

You will enjoy taking part in a “non-diagnostic” 2D, 3D, 4D & now HD ultrasound of your baby with a licensed sonographer. This does not replace any ultrasounds ordered by your medical provider (i.e. M.D., Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Midwife, etc.). This is an Elective image session that focuses on the “FUN PART” of a baby ultrasound. Please see our Services page for the sessions/packages we offer. We do offer Diagnostic Scanning but these appointments must be booked by calling our office.

At Before Birth Imaging we only hire trained, registered sonographers (our team is professional and backed by the medical education to acquire and analyze sonographic images) to give you the best possible pictures and experience!

Your First Look

With experience and equipment second to none, Before Birth Imaging offers non-diagnostic 3D, 4D, and HD image ultrasound sessions of your unborn child. In the last 30 years that we have been performing ultrasounds, we have scanned thousands of babies. With this experience, we have a unique position in the market place and the expertise necessary to provide you with an unforgettable experience! When we bring you (the parents) the first view of your baby, it’s always an exciting and gratifying moment. Because we also experience the “first look” at your baby, we often form a kind of bond, a “personal partnership” with the parents. We consider this a privilege, one that we hold in the highest regard.

Meet Debbie Dodge

My name is Debbie Dodge (RDMS / RVT). This means I am a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a Registered Specialty in OB/GYN. I have been in the medical field for almost 40 years. In that time, I have been able to really refine my bedside manner. I have provided personalized services for literally tens-of-thousands of expecting mothers.

In the first 10 years of my career, I worked as a Medical Assistant in an OB/GYN clinic. For the past 30 years, I have been a Registered Ultrasonographer. For the first 7 of those 30 years, I worked at a local area hospital. For 15 years, I successfully operated Mobile Sonographic Imaging, performing on-site ultrasound services at medical clinics in and around the Twin Cities area.

During my years as a registered sonographer, I have done many different types of ultrasounds. I discovered that I’ve always gotten the most enjoyment from providing the fun and exciting pictures for the expecting parents.

Meet Debbie Dodge, Before Birth Imaging, registered sonographer

I never get tired of the huge smiles, tears of joy, the surprise or just the sheer excitement on the faces of the parents when they see their baby for the first time! For that reason, I decided to focus on the entertainment value of elective OB, 3D/4D ultrasounds. I love having the mom, dad, and the family come in and see their little one moving, smiling, yawning or sucking on their fingers and toes.

Before Birth Imaging

In 2015, I opened Before Birth Imaging. I realized Minnesota Moms needed options for seeing their sweet babies. We offer a relaxed “spa” like atmosphere where the FAMILY is ALWAYS invited to share in the fun of an ultrasound experience!

I will continue to maintain my credentials and stay registered with RDMS. I take yearly classes and attend frequent seminars to earn the necessary CEU’s. In addition, continuing to work with many Doctors, Radiologists and other very capable Ultrasonographers in various clinical settings, helps me to keep up with the latest tips and techniques, allowing me to provide the highest quality service and pictures as possible.
